Salve Regina University
Salve Regina is a Catholic, coeducational university located in historic Newport, Rhode Island on the cliffs overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The university was founded by the Sisters of Mercy and welcomed its first class in 1947. Salve has an enrollment of 2,700 students studying in 46 undergraduate, 14 master's and 3 doctoral programs. Through hands on learning, research, small class sizes (13 to 1 student to teacher ratio), study abroad, and extensive internship and leadership opportunities graduates of Salve Regina are prepared to work for a world that is harmonious, just and merciful.
