Ohio Wesleyan University
Founded in 1842, Ohio Wesleyan University is a distinguished national liberal arts institution known for its vibrant academic programs, global focus, and integration of theory with practical experience. Located on a picturesque 200-acre campus within walking distance of Downtown Delaware, Ohio, OWU offers students a unique blend of small-town charm and the extensive opportunities of nearby Columbus, Ohio’s capital.
With approximately 70 majors and minors, and a student-to-faculty ratio of 12:1, OWU emphasizes close-knit, personalized learning, with small class sizes averaging just 18 students. The student learning experience is enhanced through The OWU Connection—an innovative program linking classroom learning with travel, fieldwork, service projects, and internships around the world. This unique approach helps students develop the global knowledge and practical experience valued by employers and graduate schools alike.
At OWU, nearly all students live in traditional residence halls, apartments, houses, or Small Living Units on our highly residential campus, fostering a vibrant experience outside of the classroom. Students can join nearly 100 campus organizations, participate in 24 NCAA Division III sports, explore Greek life, and enjoy an active performing and visual arts scene.
